Word 2000. I'm working on a document I created, that has a table of contents. I can click on the entries in the TOC to go to that part of the document, but when I do, a little window pops up. It has the word "Web" in the title bar, and the body of the window has an edit box displaying the filepath of my document, with a pulldown showing a bunch of URLs which seem to be websites I've visited.
It annoys me that this little window opens every time I click the TOC. How can I get rid of it permanently? |

Hi Bluebird,
See: http://word.mvps.org/faqs/macrosvba/...WebToolbar.htm Personally, I've chosen to leave the Web Toolbar permanently displayed, but with only the forward/back buttons on it. That way, any time I navigate somewhere within a document via a hyperlink, I can always return to the point of origin with a single click. Cheers, Paul Edstein [MS MVP - Word] ![]() |

I will stab the web toolbar with a sharp sharp knife.
