Default "Open" Macro

I am using Word 2007 on Windows7. I'd like to have my very lenghty Word document open in the same spot as when I closed and saved. I'm macro illerate so, if possible, I'll need step by step advice.

Thanks in advance

Stephen

It is very easy to have Word to go to the end of the document on opening. But since I am not sure that is what you want, I’ll wait for you to confirm.

You can go to the last edit point via Shift-F5. This works when you re-open a document, or when you've been scrolling within an already-open document. In the latter case, at least, pressing Shift-F5 up to 3 times takes you to each of the last 3 edits - pressing Shift-F5 a 4th time takes you back to where you started.
