Is there a way to format a PAR style so that it will always have sectionbreak (next page) before it?
ChatGPT says no.
Is this true?
And if so, is there a way to automate the process so that when I apply the desired PAR style, it formats it as such, and adds the correct section break? Is there a way to "catch" the style when it is applied?

On this occasion ChatGPT is correct. A style can be set to have a page break before it, but not a section break, which should only to be used when there is a significant change to the page layout.

The best way to achieve that is to create a building block which you can insert when necessary.

No, that is not possible. You can give a paragraph Style the 'page break before' attribute, though. Why do you believe you need a Section Break?

If you put the section break inside a Building Block (or AutoText) before a Content Control or Macrobutton Prompt set in your style you can do this. Such a Building Block can be attached to a keyboard shortcut if you want, making it very easy to insert.
