Default Problems with Hyperlink in Office apps

I need a hyperlink to an external app from within Word. In the past, this has worked fine. All of a sudden, it stopped working. It crashes **all office apps** and does not execute. It works fine in Chrome or Explorer.

The syntax of the link is:

OtzarBook://book/738/p/133/t/0.89443142509892671234/fs/0/start/0/end/0/c

(There is no way I can upload this app anywhere. It is part of a gigantic DB system)

Any ideas about what might be causing the problem?

Thank you, and have a good day!

That doesn't look like a valid url, but:
HTML Code:
https://tablet.otzar.org/?lang=en#/b/738/p/133/t/0.89443142509892671234/fs/0/start/0/end/0/c
seems to work - on my system, at least.

Default Hyperlink

Wow, it's interesting to see a member using that system!

The URL created links to the Web version of the database, which requires a separate subscription. I have the desktop version and have already paid thousands of dollars for that version I am not about to add a web subscription.
The desktop hyperlink is relying on a entry in the registry that looks like this:
--->
set key=OTZARBOOK
reg add HKCR\%key% /ve /d "Otzar" /f
reg add HKCR\%key% /v "URL Protocol" /d "" /f
reg add HKCR\%key%\shell /f
reg add HKCR\%key%\shell\open /f
reg add HKCR\%key%\shell\open\command /ve /d "%OTZARAPPCD%/OtzarHahochma.bat ""%%1""" /f
<-----

As I mentioned, the original link works outside of any office app but crashes Word, Excel, OneNote...

The company has passed the buck to Redmont. But I was hoping someone here would have an idea....

sigh.....

Have you tried repairing your Office installation?

It's possible, too, that OtzarHahochma.bat and/or your OtzarBook application are damaged and need repair/reinstallation.

Ran repair (long version)
Did not help

The company said that the fact that it works everywhere else (Chrome and Explorer) indicates it is an Office issue. But they said it works on their system in Office apps also!!! SO why am I being singled out? (Crashes office app and doesn't execute)

Any additional ideas are appreciated!

I really, really need this function!

Thank you, and have a good day!

As I said, you might try repairing/reinstalling your OtzarBook application.
