Office 2021: What is the best practice for numbering equations?


The recommended method for inserting equations involves creating a table with 3 columns and 1 row, typing the equation in the middle column, and placing the equation number in the third column, as shown in the screenshots.
I have two issues:
  1. How to AUTOMATICALLY add brackets to the equation number?
  2. How to get the label AUTOMATICALLY typed when making a cross-reference?
