I am translating a text in Word Document. It is disappearing and the number of characters is frozen.

I am translating a text in Word Document. After a while, I noticed that while the actual number of characters was higher, the number stalled at 1788 characters without spaces. In fact it should be around 5000 characters. Then I copied the text to another document and it still showed 1788 characters. Then I started to delete the paragraphs until it showed another character number, that is, less than the actual one. It went down to 1600 then when I added the deleted paragraphs it was once again stuck in 1788. I copied the deleted part to another page and it showed 0 character.



Afterwards I sent the file to a friend of mine, who told me that there were only 1788 characters and no more. She did not see the rest of the document, which appears as "0" character.

I tried to copy that part onto several pages but alas all pages showed 0 character. I tried to copy it in Whatsapp or Skype but there was nothing to paste. There were no copied parts so I could not paste any.

I am re-writing the "0 showing" paragraphs again because there is no other solution I could find. Has anyone heard of something like this? I fear that I will translate a huge file (1000 pages for example), send it to customer and she will tell me that the file is blank!
