Default How can I disable the "welcome back" message when a document is re opened?

This ANNOYING message keeps popping up near the section of the scrollbar of the page I was last on. It makes it very annoying when using a tablet and I have to tap the screen every time to get it to stop blocking the view. I have tried following the steps in this guide but to not avail. Looks like I will have to switch to using a third party alternative because MS sucks!
