Default Cropped images emailed to ipad show whole image

Not easy to explain in title, and may not be the correct forum, but I hope someone can assist.

Basically I've taken several screenshots of a large webpage on my laptop, cropped them in Word so they appear as one long script, and saved them as a single document.

When I email the document as an attachment to my wife's ipad, open it thereon and save it into a folder, when I open the folder the crops are lost ie the individual screenshots are there, and so it does not read as one contiguous document.

When I email the document to myself, the attachment does appear as one contiguous document.

Compressing and deleting the hidden cropped areas on the original document made no difference.

Any ideas, please?
