I typically print 8-12 page documents once or twice a week. Frequently, I need to print only one page from the document; it could be any page, and either the printer prints nothing, or it prints the previous page instead of the one I want.
I print to a Xerox printer/copier and I've checked with their support people. They tell me the printer only prints what the MS Word tells it to. Has anyone else had this issue, and if so, how did you correct it? Thanks |

Hi,
First, this may be a problem with there being multiple sections in the document. Word gets confused easily. See Printing with Multiple Sections. Second, there is a recent bug that seems to cause problems with printing less than the full document. If the section information does not help, you may be experiencing that. If you are, make sure that you keep your software updated for bug fixes. A workaround is to save as pdf and print from the pdf. Another is to go to the page you want to print and tell Word to print the current page. Hope this helps. |

Thank you Charles. I have no section breaks in my documents, so that won't be the culprit. I'll make sure I have my software updated. The PDF option is interesting. If the print quality is comparable to printing directly from Word, I'll use that as a workaround.
Thanks again. |
