Yeah, kind of a pain. Glad I found this explanation here with the folder-looking icon with an up arrow in the upper right of Word. This controls the ribbon settings. As for the version of Word, I'm not quite sure what ours is because it's part of Office 365. It's version 2112, whatever that is.

Currently you are using code in Word 2021+ in Word 365.


Microsoft continues to fix stuff that isn't broken!
