I pasted a copy of an entry from a thread in a forum to a blank page in word. When I triple click on a line, the screen flashes a couple of times and the entire paragraph is selected. Sometimes, when I'm typing the screen will flash 2 or 3 times. If I remember correctly, in word 2007, if you double-clicked on a word, just the the word would be selected. If you triple clicked on a line, just the line would be selected. And I never saw a flashing screen. Can someone give me help with this?

If you triple-click on a word then the entire paragraph is selected. I thought that is how it has always been.
The flashing screen is another issue. Never seen that. Maybe try updating graphics drivers? You can also try disabling hardware acceleration? This can only be done via Excel (not Word) but it applies to Word as well. Open Excel and go to File/Options/Advanced/Display where you can tick a box to disable it. This tip came from Charles Kenyon on this forum. |
