Hi
Unfortunately I could not find an article on google to explain this, so fingers crossed someone can explain here, and it would be much appreciated. - If I am writing a financial report, and I want to reference some specific values, that may be changing in a financial forecast - is there a way to make the values 'live'. Example "IN 2024 we expect to order [10,253] units of product xyz" Is there a way to link the 10,253 to an excel budget / order table, whereby the 10,253 number changes if the value in the spreadsheet changes? IN excel it is easy, we use named ranges - but I can not find the equivalent in Word (if it exists) thanks in advance. SP |

If I understand the requirement correctly, copy the Excel cell or range to the clipboard, then in Word right click and paste a link. The Excel information is pasted into the document. Provided both the worksheet and the document are open, the document will display any change to the Excel data in real time. If the worksheet is not open, then you would have to update the link - either at the prompt when you open the document, or manually (CTRL + A then F9)
