I've got a very strange problem with MS Word 365. I create a Word document and then click Save. I get the usual box, fill in my name for this document (e.g. Letter to Bank), click save. The document reverts straight back to document without a name and isn't saved. Very occasionally it sort of saves. What I mean is this: it reverts back to document so I try again and it says Letter to Bank already exists. So I go via File Explorer to check and sure enough, the document does appear to exist. However, when I open it, it's empty! So I save again and replace it. Sometimes it works and I can see my document now has its name. Most of the time it doesn't work at all. Sometimes I can click Save As instead and save it that way. Sometimes not even that will work. I then have to create a new Word document, copy everything across, and save. That then works!
This is driving me crazy. I reboot and think my computer will be fine then after a couple of hours, it starts again. I create and save new Word documents 30 or 40 times a day. Does anybody else have this experience?
Just to give background: I am using Dropbox for all my files. I've never had problems in the past. My internet connection is great (wired). I have no problems saving anything else. I've been working like this for 4 years. Something has changed in the last few weeks.
I'm hoping somebody can shed some light on this for me (other than reinstalling software for which I have neither the time nor the inclination as it is always up to date anyway being Office 365!). Thank you!
