Default "Intense" Style in TOC - how to exclude

Long suffering newbie here, in dire need of help!

As it says above, I have used "Intense" and "Strong" format styles in a doc but for graphic purposes only, as I like the spacing and easy add for sub-titles - I positively do not want them to show up in a TOC, and I cannot find a way to keep them out. I selected 2 levels only in a custom TOC but they still come up... Ideas?

Thanks!
