I don't know that I have a solution for you but perhaps you could try making the MetConv.txt files Read Only after exiting Word 2002. The paths you show look like they are for the Word 2002 version.

Thank you Guessed (again).
The paths I gave in my question were for the 2 metconv.log files. There is only one metconv.txt file. It is a huge file at C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Smart Tag (I'm not sure what "Smart Tag" is). Which files should I make read only? All 3? I'm just a regular Windows enduser. How do I access the file attributes in Windows to make them "read only"? |
