For most styles, you do NOT want that checked, and it should not have made an update you saved to a style update. That checkbox is if you apply direct formatting to text in a style then the style will be changed.


I keep it checked for my TOC styles and that is about it.


(I had been keeping your document open on my computer. I can close it now. Glad you got it fixed.)
