Default Can I replace reference numbers with the footnotes to which they refer and link.

Dear experts,

I have a large document with 1000s of footnotes. The reference numbers in the text are superscripted and if you double left-click on them it takes you to the footnote; if you double left-click on the same reference number (which is repeated before the footnote) it takes you back to the reference number in the text.

This is all very impressive and handy, but I would like to insert all the footnotes into the text. Is there any way (using find-and-replace for example) of doing so?

Thanks for your time.
