I can't point to an event that triggered this, but of late, every time I insert a footnote or endnote, it has a lower-case Roman numeral reference, although at this moment, my current document has a mixture because I was able to force one of them to an Arabic number. I want to force MS Office to fix this globally.
I want this to happen always and forever, not have to fight with it and lose again and again. How can I force this? I looked for online help but Word 2019 didn't come up with it. Suggestions please. This is ridiculous. Word didn't use the wrong alternative ever before. I also don't understand why modifying the endnote reference does not include the symbols to be used. I can change the numbering separately but that only works for the note I'm on. Thanks. Last edited by Charles Kenyon; 04-25-2020 at 05:29 PM. Reason: Make easier to read |
