Suddenly Word Professional Plus 2019 (Windows 10 Professional) stopped autocorrecting smiles into emojis.
There is no such option in Proofing - autocorrect now Please let me know how I can add this replace entry. Thank you! |

If you mean that Word has stopped converting ":-)" into a smiley face, do the following: Click File > Options > Proofing > AutoCorrect Options. On the AutoCorrect tab, make sure that there is a check mark next to "Replace text as you type." You may also want to verify that ":-)" is in the list of AutoCorrect entries.

It is not there, that's what I am talking about. But it used to be there before. I can type ":=)", but how do I type there "😊" to create the AutoCorrect entry anew? Thanks! |

Try renaming your normal template with Word closed.

As Charles suggested, renaming the Normal template would be a quick fix. However, if the ":-)" entry is the only one that is missing, perhaps recreating it would be simpler.
