I created second word document with the same page size and margins, then copied the two pages in question and pasted them there. As you'll see, for some reason the two pages of text ran onto a third page by one line. Also, the first two lines of text on the second page of this test document are actually the last two lines of text on the prior page, in my document. Don't know why it pushed them onto the second page in this text document, leaving so much room empty at the bottom of the first page. So in my actual document, the four line poem which you see near the top of the second page is the first text on my second page (i.e.p.174) in my document. And it starts in the second line on the page, not the first line-- as described in my initial post.
