Macropod, you are correct and I have manged to replicate. Thank you so much for taking time out of your day to help the helpless, it is very much appreciated.
Charles, thanks for the link, I did look at the methods you suggest and you may be right about them being the way to go. My desire, however was not to mess with the format of the document behind the scenes too much, I guess at least if use text control boxes I can label them for the right contents.
