Inserting page numbers manually in footer

i have created a booklet containing religious matter. the first 6 pages contain pictures. from page 7 to 54, texts. i want to number the page 7 as 1 and incremental to each page. when i type page 1, all the pages show the same page number.

please guide me as to how can i automatically or manually insert the page number from page 7.'

This is in continuation of the thread.

Auto page numbering works fine if it is a single document,

I copied the page numbered document to another document. When done I find page 1 has been changed to 8. That is the previous document now has 7 pages. How to retain the page number as 1.

Use the Page Number Format dialog box to change the starting page number, or set it to "Continue from previous section," whichever option suits your new document.
