I have 3 files
Please let me know how to merge these files.

The purpose is to ensure no page numbers appear in file 1 and 3

If I combine, will page numbers appear in all the three files.

1. Copy your first file.
2. Go to the end of the copy and insert a Next-Page section break.
3. Copy and paste document 2 into the end of your copy after that break.
4. Go to the end of the copy and insert a Next-Page section break.
5. Go into the headers and footers and disconnect or unlink them from previous headers/footers.
6. Format the page number to start at 1 in that new section.
7. Copy and paste document 2 into the end of your copy after that break.

This is far from a sure thing. Word documents can be difficult to combine.
