They are the same on a working version of Word (2013) as they are on a non-working (2016). The best I can tell is that this just works by default in Office 2013 and not in Office 2016. Can anyone else confirm that?

Ctrl-Alt-V almost does what I want but there is still an additional window that comes up and needs interaction to do the embed.
