Question How to copy automatically data from Excel file to Word file?

Hi, is there any chance to move (copy) automatically data from excel (as a number from box) onto word file without opening this file? I have to copy a lot of data every single day from one word file onto excel file via copy-paste and it makes me crazy is there any option to make it automatically?

Many thanks in advance for help.

Default Which way?

you do not make it clear whether you are copying from Word to Excel or vice versa; you say both. In either case, without further information about the document into which you are copying, it's had to advise. Are you aware that you can embed an Excel file into Word? you might wish to look this up.

Cordially,
Ulodesk

Hi fuchsd,

You can create a link between Excel and Word by selecting a range in Excel, copying it, then activating the Word document, selecting the destination and choosing Edit|Paste Special, checking the 'paste link' option and choosing the paste format you desire. From then on, any change to the Excel data should be reflected in Word (you may need to go to Tools|Options|General and make sure the 'Update automatic links at open' option is checked).

Hi fuchsd,

The only way that can be done is to have both files open whilst editing in Excel (works for me).
