*sigh* I've been searching online and it has been really confusing, if someone could help me with this I will be forever indebted to you.
I want to do automatic outline numbering formatting like the following: I. Level 1 a) Lesson 1 b) Lesson 2 c) Lesson 3 II. Level 2 a) Lesson 1 b) Lesson 2 c) Lesson 3 etc. With all of the numbers behind the word 'Level' and "Lesson' automatically generated. Can someone explain how to do this? Or even better, if someone could simply email a MS Word sample document with this formatting, it may be even easier than typing an explanation all out, I can just go in and see how it's done. THANK YOU SO MUCH in advance. I've been 4 hours on this already and the formatting has gotten worse and worse *sigh* David |

The formatting above messed up, I mean that there is an indent with all the small outline letters a), b), c) should all be indented.
Thank you! |

Here are some links that will help you:
Numbered Headings Understanding styles | ShaunaKelly.com Understanding Styles in Microsoft Word Basic concepts of Microsoft Word: An introduction | ShaunaKelly.co There is a some detail to get what you want and once you read through these links you should not find it too cumbersome. Don't try any shortcuts...they don't work. But, the first link (Numbered Headings) is probably more in line with what you are doing. HTHs... |
