Yes, the Organizer is a powerful tool. But,
- Import/Export styles using the Organizer is exactly the same from Word 2007 on and only slightly different in earlier versions.
- Desmond is concerned with which styles appear in style lists. In addition to having his styles available, he wants other styles either gone or hidden. The procedure you are giving does nothing with that.
- Desmond is working with a template. While you can import from a template, the simple method, which I am confident he is using, is to create a new document based on the template. That document will have exactly the style setup from the template. Templates in Microsoft Word
