My preference is Greg Maxey's version, but that may be simply because I am used to it.
Content Control Tools Both Graham and Greg have far more knowledge of this area than I do. I believe you would be using a mapped or cross-referenced drop-down content control unless you want to use an IF Field to test the content of the mapped [check box] control and give your desired text. |

These processes were a collaborative effort. Greg and I have worked together for many years, and so both the add-ins on my site (and Greg's) started from the same general premise, initially revolving around document variables and bookmarks, but later expanded to include document properties and later still content controls. But we had a difference of opinion on the user requirement for content controls. I felt most users would simply want to insert and cross reference controls and not require the facility to go deeper, so I stayed with an earlier iteration that made that particular task a simple one for users and worked on that. Greg went much further with content controls and if you want that extra capability his version is indeed excellent.
