I'm no MVP, but I am curious, how did you 'remove' those lines? Have Word "Ignore" them? I'm not sure that kind of thing carries over to another Word installation.

FWIW, depending on what you're writing about, you can set a specific style in the doc not to subject to spell check and grammar check. For example I have a "code example" style in my docs. It's a monospace font that looks like it belongs in a text editor. Obviously, snippets of Java code etc. will fail spelling and grammar checks pretty badly. So I set that style to not be checked.

To do this, open the style's "Modify Style" window and click Format > Language. Then select the "Do not check spelling or grammar" box.
