When I look at the field code in the document you attached, there is a space before the '-'.

You are correct. However, if I remove that space, the minus and the 4 are no longer directly above each other.

Edit: added a space after the four and that works Thanks!

Edit2: found another "funny" one: a middle dot starts on a new line where it shouldn't do that.
