On my system (Word 2013 on Windows 10), I see the Ribbon display options and a question mark to access Word Help. Beyond that, it is the same as your screen shot.
If Word is the only program that acts strange, try repairing your Office installation from Control Panel. See https://support.office.com/en-us/art...ad=US&fromAR=1.

Stefan.
I followed your advice and repaired my 2016 Office program, but my view of a Word Document remains the same with only three icons showing. I still ask the same question: What happened to the fourth icon that used to be at the top right corner of a Word Document? Is it that Microsoft, on a whim, removed it from their program? What am I not understanding here? Is there any way the fourth icon can be restored because it was very useful to me?
