I have uploaded 3 files. File 1a is the word document. File 1b is the PDF document created from the Word document using the MSFT add-in to save as PDF or XPF. File 1c is the scanned printout of the PDF (1b). In both the original Word document and the and PDF created from it, the word "Description" is correct. But when I print it, it comes out "Descripo n". I tried it with two different printers: HP LaserJet 5000 & Epson WorkForce 845 inkjet -- same results I also tried creating PDFs from the exact same Word document using 2-3 other add-ins. They all print correctly. The problem has to be with the add-in, no? Can someone try printing the 1b file to see if the word is correct? Either way, is there a fix? I tried your suggestions above for repairing Word or Office. |

SFC /scannow from an elevated command prompt. That should repair any damaged system files - possibly including fonts; otherwise, if it's just one font that giving you grief, try uninstalling then reinstalling that font.

Did you try printing the 1c file? I just uploaded 3 files. The first 2 are the exact same PDF printed from my laptop and my workstation (both running the exact same software as far as I know). It prints OK from the workstation, but not OK from the laptop. The third file is another PDF created with the Adobe PDF Printer from the same Word document. It prints OK everywhere. Did you try printing the 1b file? Does it print correctly on your printer? Quote:

No. There's not much point printing the 1c file when it's obvious data are missing. What matters is why the data are missing. You previously said I took that to mean you get the same error when printing both the document and when saving the PDF. Now, however, it seems you're also referring to the PDFs as documents, so I'm not sure what you meant by that. If you get the same error when printing the Word document as you do when saving to PDF, the problem is unlikely to be with the Save As PDF or XPF addin.

I have been having problems when printing PDF versions of several Word documents that were created using the Microsoft Save as PDF or XPF add-in. This problem only appears when printing the PDF and only from one computer. It does not occur when printing the Word document itself or when printing PDFs created by some other PDF-creating utility or when printing on a different computer. I have these documents:
