![]() I am creating a form with fill-in fields and check boxes. When the form is completed and protected and I go to test the form, I cannot tab through the check boxes. So I just clicked on the boxes I wanted to check. The problem is that then I cannot fill in the text fill-in fields. They no longer work. What am I doing wrong? How can I fix this? |

Your post suggests you've used a mix of formfields and content controls. You should use one or the other, not both.

Word 2007 does not have working checkbox content controls built in.
See Content Control Custom Checkboxes. |

So true. Even so, a dropdown control or formfield with Yes/No options can be used to the same ends and with none of the risk of mutually exclusive options being checked or the need for workarounds to prevent it.

Dawn Marie: Please don't pursue the same question in multiple threads. Please also don't resurrect ancient threads. The one you posted in (https://www.msofficeforums.com/word-...ext-boxes.html) was last active over 7 years ago. I've deleted your post from that thread.
