Hi there,
Within my document I have many tables, figures and formulas which are numbered automatically by Word. My issue now: I have to explain some of those formulas and therefore I want to use the number in the text as well. If I add another formula in the middle, the formulas in the end will all increase by 1 and therefore my links in the end will be wrong. How can I link the number to the number of the formula/table/figure, so that it will increase by 1 as well if I add something in the front? Best, Jacky |

References > Insert Cross Reference.
The cross-reference will be a field. To update it, you will need to select it and press F9. In many cases, you can select the entire document and then press F9. |
