Post Inserting a New Page Without Spacing Down

I am writing my book manuscript (something I usually do on typewriter) and I always start every chapter on a fresh page. However, I can't figure out if there is a way to insert a blank page to start on without just hitting "enter" repeatedly and spacing down to a new page. I hate doing that because it inevitably messes up my spacing along the way. I will start typing and then see my lines jump to the prior page, etc and I'd like to avoid that.

Using MS Word 2013.

That's a really bad way to do it. Ctrl-Enter inserts a manual page break or, given that you're working with Chapters, you might want to use a Next Page Section break (inserted via Page Layout>Breaks). Evidently, though, you haven't learned how to use Word. I suggest you spend a bit of time doing that, especially about the use of Styles, before going much further.

Most definitely amigo. I am not a MS Word user by choice, that's for sure. I actually enjoy using other software but my normal computer is down and my typewriter needs a new ribbon and I'm a bit tight on cash right now. Typically I do this on a typewriter and it is very easy for me to do.

However, I haven't ever been a big fan of MS Word. But, now that I know it is simply a style format issue and can be done with section breaks, etc, I'll look into that and learn how to apply all of those things. Thank you for the information as I am sure it will be most helpful.
