Word periodically slows / freezes when typing or printing

Word even slows or freezes when someone else on the network is printing. Sometimes it freezes just trying to open a document. This only happens to 2 users/computers out of 7. This has been going on for weeks. One of the two computers is new, the other is 5 years old. All network setting have been checked for correctness. Thanks for any help.

I would not think that would be a Word issue. More than likely a network issue.

This really points to the network...IMO. I would suggest you contact whomever runs the network to find the solution.

Or, maybe another poster may want to share suggested solutions.
