Some images not saved when creating PDF from Word with Acrobat

Does anyone know anything about creating PDFs from Word 2007 with Adobe Acrobat XI? I installed Acrobat last night and tried to convert several documents; it saves only about half the images and none of the Shapes. This is my first go with Acrobat and know next to nothing. I spent the morning looking online for a solution but nothing's working.

When I have any version of Adobe Acrobat installed along with MS Word, I ALWAYS convert my Word files to .pdf by printing to ADOBE PDF (the Adobe driver). Rarely, if ever, do I have a problem. Have you tried this method yet?

Yes I tried that but it didn't work either.

I've got the MS PDF extension for exporting to PDF; Acrobat caused it to not work properly too. When I tried to export with Word only I got the same result as with Acrobat. I think something's conflicting somewhere. I restored a backup image I made before installing Acrobat and everything's back to normal.

Are these images and shapes something you could share so that I could try from my PC?

Appreciate it Jim but I'm getting tired of wrestling with it. I reinstalled Acrobat and opted out of the add-ons for Word. Things seem in pretty good shape. I can still use Acrobat for a lot of things, I just can't export Word documents as PDFs. All things considered, the MS Save as PDF Add-in isn't a bad way to go after all.

Hi Walt,

Your description suggests the Adobe Acrobat XI installation was faulty. Uninstalling & reinstalling it, or maybe just a repair, may resolve the problem. Having reinstalled Adobe Acrobat XI, you might try re-enabling its Word Addins at a less stressful time to see if they now work properly. Note too that the Adobe Acrobat XI Addins can be disabled from within Word itself.
