Hi
How can update Index, but just numbers not totally? Because when Index becomes updated totally, whole format of it changes. Mohsen |

Perhaps you should do some basic work to get the Index to format correctly in the first place.

You cannot update only a part of any field.
The format of an Index field is controlled by switches and via the 'Formats' dropdown under Insert|Quick Parts|Field>Index>Index. You can also change the format of the various Index Styles (e.g. Index 1). For information on the switches, see: https://support.office.com/en-us/art...rs=en-US&ad=US
