Two unrelated questions:
1. It appears you have some unwanted text in the header. Open the header view and remove it (Insert tab > Header > Edit header.) 2. I am not sure what 'inputted them into a file means'. Scans are graphical images of the documents. In order to edit them you need OCR (Optical Character Reading) text to convert them into editable text. The results will largely depend on the quality of the oCR software and what the scanned document contained. There is no easy answer.
