If you set up a multilevel list with the appropriate levels you can then use LISTNUM fields in place of 4.1.a), 4.1.b) and 4.1.c) in your example.

There is a built-in shortcut to add the LISTNUM field: Ctrl+Alt+L. Once you have inserted the field, you can right-click it and use Increase Indent / Decrease Indent to change numbering levels. (The command doesn't actually affect the indentation, only the level of the multilevel list.)

You are welcome.

If you mean that you want to reformat line numbers (the ones that you can display in the margin of each page), modify the Line Number style. In the Apply Styles pane (Ctrl+Shift+S), type in Line Number and click the Modify button. Make the desired changes and click OK.

On the other hand, if you mean that you want a different font for your inserted "in line" LISTNUM fields, you can apply a font the same way you would to any range of text.
