Continue from previous for page numbering has nothing to do with "Link to Previous" for headers and footers. These are separate controls in separate places in Word. You can easily have continuous page numbering; it is the default.
Again, look into the
StyleRef Field as to the need for different headers.That field lets you reflect the content of that part of the body of your document in the header so that the same header will read differently depending on the content of the page.
