You will not find an expert on Word who can give you much help with the Master Documents "Feature" for the reasons given by Graham. They have enough experience and sense to avoid it. It can destroy parts of your document that are not even open.

The link Master Documents "Feature" has more information. There is one expert who goes by the "Word Heretic" who has given directions on how he makes use of it.
