Unhappy inserting documents into a master document

I need to submit four financial documents as one document for a grant application. In WordPerfect, there is a very easy way to insert a text document into another, but I can't find a way to do it with Word. I can't be the first person who has needed to do this, so how's it done?

Thanks! Richard
