I have Word 2007 and I was sent a document containing tables; I need to change the tables to text to bring the text into InDesign without the tables.
One column in the table is a list of packages. The next column is a list of prices for each of the packages. I want to change it to text so that the text comes out so I have the package name, followed by a tab, which is followed by the corresponding price. But when I convert to text, using a tab as the delimeter, all of the prices move (as a group) to the end of the list of packages. I even tried merging the lines of text, but when I try to select the first line, I end up selecting the entire list of packages instead. It's as if the packages and prices are 2 different tables. Is there a way to do this without copying and pasting each price separately? I'll attach a document that contains a copy of the first table to show what I'm trying to describe. |
