When I open a Word doc, the file modification date changes even though the file was not edited.
Any idea how to prevent this behavior? Preferably for all documents. I make use of file modification timestamps in by business procedures and this behavior is disruptive. |

The modification date is controlled by the operating system. Typically, the modification dates changes to the current date & time when a file is opened but, if it is closed without making any changes, it should revert to the former date & time.
