Once you use a style in a document, the style becomes part of the document so it will travel with it. Those styles are now part of that document regardless of if you have the original template it was created with.
When you open a new blank document on your computer, which is created from the Normal.dot file, you automatically have a whole range of styles however the Styles gallery only shows 7 of the most common or recommended styles within that document. I have included an attachment which will step you through the process to have all Styles displayed in the Style pane. Please let me know if you have any further questions. |
