Yes you can turn this setting off in the Word Options dialog box.
- Go to the Office button (top left corner) - Select Word Options - Click the Advanced tab - Un tick the checkbox for Use CTRL + Click to follow hyperlink - Click OK Just bare in mind this is a security feature and is meant to assist you with editing your documents and not accidentally clicking on hyperlinks.
