Just in the last day or so, if I go into a document and try to ctrl+click in the table of contents it gives me the following error message:
"this operation has been canceled due to restrictions in effect on this computer. Please contact your system admin" I have not altered the program to my knowledge and this is my home computer. I tried deselecting the "Use ctrl+click to follow hyperlinks" option in tools/options/edit to no effect. I get the error in both newly created documents and in old ones where TOC used to work. |

Hi dgoldsworth,
Perhaps the advice in one of these links will help: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/325478 http://support.microsoft.com/kb/894179

I had uninstalled and reinstalled firefox to fix an unrelated problem. At the time of uninstall FF had been set to my default browswer and that's what screwed the hyperlinks up. All I did to fix it was temporarily set IE as the default browser and that got rid of the error. When I reset FF as the default again, the problem stayed fixed. thanks for your help though. |
