To do that, you'd have to bookmark the text and, within the Excel object, set an external reference pointing to the document and its bookmark. Note that this would require the bookmark to be saved before the link to it could be established. Note also that moving the document to a different folder is liable to break the link and that it won't update unless you click on the embedded workbook to open it. Is there a particular reason for using an embedded workbook instead of a Word table for this?

Yes, letter is problem (6 letters - 6 problems). On the letter user edit standard text every month. But on the excel table calculate every moths new data.
On the letter first go text, on the centre of the letter is excel table (cant Word Table - problems with calculation), and go text who reference on some data from spreadsheet. I need something like this : Text ...... Text || Excel. Sheet.12.J8 || Text Text || ...J5 || Text Text Can t create excel data base, and get data from that table. Not on this case. I m dummy for Word programing and don t understand macro or VB ... But, tnx for help ... |

Without knowing what calculations you're trying to perform, I can't really advise on how they might be addressed. That said, Word fields can perform quite complex calculations. For example -
