I’m creating a doc from a Word Template that has been setup by a third party. The template is such that every main heading starts on new page. In other words, Heading 1 will start on Page 1, but as soon as I type “2. New Heading”, this sections starts on a new page and is formatted the same as how Heading 1 is defined to be. And when I type “3. XX “ that also starts a new page and so on.


I do not want every new numbered heading to start on a new page. I still would like to formatting to apply (Font, Size + Bold), but it should just continue below the previous points.
Typing a backspace before the section also removes the formatting, and then the TOC is not correct.
